Tourism Sector in the UAE: The total contribution of the travel and tourism sector to the GDP (direct and indirect) created in the UAE increased to the equivalent of 11.1% in 2019, Grew by 2.4% to AED164.7 billion (US$44.8 billion). It is expected that this sector’s participation will grow to +2.4% As for the positive contributions made by the UAE tourism sector, 9.6% of the total employment in the country, estimated at 611.7 thousand job opportunities, are jobs directly and indirectly supported by the tourism industry.
