2030 1,8 Tourist Billion 10% Of GDP 82 b. Global Tourism Sector: The global tourism sector has witnessed exponential growth over the past ten years. By 2030, the number of tourists is expected to reach more than 1.8 billion tourists from various countries around the world. Globally, the tourism sector is one of the most important sources of income for many countries and has a major role in supporting the GDP of many countries, as it constitutes 10% of the global GDP and about AED 4.77 trillion (USD 1.3 trillion) of exports. The tourism sector plays a pivotal role in the economic cycle, as it contributes to providing job opportunities that reach about one in ten jobs in the world.
