64 C- Organization & Development Based on Sharjah’s vision to develop the tourism sector and present world-class events and festivals, the SCTDA is undertaking massive efforts to enhance the marketing, promotional and organizational aspects of its operations to surpass the international tourism standards, in order to upgrade the emirate’s position in the region by implementing the latest methods and practices to develop the tourism sector. For this reason, the SCTDA is keen to implement a number of leading organization and development initiatives including: - Training and capacity building. - Developing quality standards, issuing permits/ licenses - Global discourse: Sharjah Hospitality Forum Developing Quality Standards: The keenness to provide excellent services and high quality products is a key element for developing the tourism sector. This is well understood by the SCTDA. Therefore, attaining top standards in services and products will enable Sharjah to reinforce its global tourism position in addition to working with influential partners and customers in the tourism sector. To achieve these goals, the SCTDA works relentlessly to initiate and refine standards and excellence standards in this industry, in addition to effective monitoring through surveys aimed at measuring tourists’ satisfaction with the services, activities and events held in Sharjah. The SCTDA is always keen on continuous coordination with international bodies to ensure providing a high level of tourism services in line with international quality standards.
