61 61 U.I.M. F1H2O WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP - Sharjah Grand Prix The U.I.M. F1H2O WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP is the world’s main global race series for single-seat powerboats near marine coasts. In 2019, during the five-day 20th edition, an audience composed of spectators from all around the world gathered to witness the event which drew participants from various countries who came to showcase their unusual talents. The huge popularity of this event cemented Sharjah’s position on the global tourism map, as the event was broadcast live on air to more than 75 nations around the world. Spectators enjoyed watching world class athletes closely competing in their powerboats and performing high-stakes stunts for over 40 minutes at a maximum speed of up to 200 km/h in a straight line.
